Jake (2/7 10:03pm): Okay so 5:30am your house?

Chris (2/7 10:21pm):10:15am – be prompt, bring longjohns it’s cold out there

Jake (2/8 9:45am): Hey I’m at the starbucks by your house, can anybody come pick me up?

Chris (2/8 10:30am): Hey ran into some speedbumps, sending Nick to pick you up

Jake (2/8 10:35am): Cool, see ya in a sec

Jake (2/8 10:45am): where are you?

Chris (2/8 10:46am): had to leave, emergencies

Jake (2/8 10:48am): okay, anything I can do to help?

Chris (2/8 10:52am): I’ll let you know

Chris (2/8 2:45pm): Hey, do you know anyone with a fax machine

Jake (2/8 2:47pm): I thought they destroyed all the fax machines after WWII

Chris (2/8 2:55pm): if that’s true that’s unfortunate, if that’s false then i hate you

Jake (2/8 3:01pm): I’m guessing we can’t leave town until we find one

Chris (2/8 3:15pm): I never thought it would come to this, but, yes. We must fax to survive

Jake (2/8 3:20pm): How motivated are Kinko’s employees?

Chris (2/8 3:25pm): I dunno, why do you ask

Jake (2/8/3:30pm): just wonder how hard they’d resist the theft of a fax machine

Chris (2/8 3:33pm): don’t think they ‘d have to. their things look heavy

Jake (2/8 3:45pm): we have a van

Chris (2/8 3:55pm): yeah, but we’d have to drag it out to the street

Jake (2/8 4:01pm): we have the element of surprise

Chris (2/8 4:04pm): pretty sure they’d see us coming

Jake (2/8 4:15pm): we have everything we need

Chris (2/8 4:20pm): except a fax machine. I think i was a little ambitious with our schedule this morning

Jake (2/8 4:45pm): yeah. it’ll be great for a blog

Chris (2/8 4:55pm): just don’t quote me

Jake (2/8 5:01pm): deal

So we are still in Dallas, a short 21 hours away from our destination. Someone is bringing pizza, folding t-shirts, quietly sulking in the corner wondering what new horrors await in the near future, and here I sit, spinning with the Earth at a 1000mph and feeling dizzy. There have been, and there will always be, various delays to starting our journey. Sleeperstar is prone to timesucks, gravitywells, to which the creatively-minded are often prone. The great thing about having Chris Pearson in your band is his remarkable ability to take on large tasks with effective desperation.
